January Red Rocks Amphitheater Events

Red Rocks Amphitheater is a huge draw for people from all around the United States.  The massive scarlet boulders that surround the venue create a beautiful setting to enjoy some incredible music or fun activities.  Since it is an open amphitheater, the winter months can make for a chilly venture to Red Rocks, but there is still so much to check out in January!

Check out the newest addition to Red Rock’s schedule, Local Set, on Friday, January 12th.  Local Colorado bands, a meal, and cold beverages await attendees in the warm Visitor Center at the amphitheater… no bundling up for this event!  Guests will also get the option to tour the backstage of Red Rocks and get an inside look of where hundreds of famous bands and artists have performed.

Later in January check out Icelantic’s Winter on the Rocks. Brother Ali will open the evening and Juaz is one of the headliners for the show.  Mac Miller was originally going to be the main attraction, but is unable to perform anymore so the other headliner is TBA.  Icelantic also holds raffles and other surprises for people who attend.

If concerts aren’t quite your vibe, or your looking for a little more adventure, check out the area surrounding the amphitheater.  The rock structures are a natural marvel and the diverse environment makes for a great day of hiking or bird watching.

Working on getting your heart rate up?  Head into the amphitheater for sunrise along with a handful of others that are looking to get a sweat going.  Red Rock’s stairs are a popular place for runners to practice incline training, and yoga enthusiasts also enjoy the beautiful scenery while finding their zen.

The most important thing to remember when visiting Red Rocks is to respect the environment and leave it how you found it.  With the amount of concerts and events that take place at the venue and the thousands of people that go in an out daily, trash build up is unfortunately hard the avoid.  Be sure to not leave anything behind when visiting this beautiful amphitheater so we can conserve the area as much as possible.

If you’re headed out to Colorado in the warmer months, Red Rocks should be on your list of to-do’s as well as an adventure in the outdoors.  Colorado River Rentals offers plenty of equipment options from rafts to inflatable kayaks and fishing gear.  Come explore with us!
