Steamboat Bike Week

Every year, the Colorado cycling community celebrates the athleticism and culture derived from bicycling.  Whether you’re a hardcore downhill guru or a skinny tire road specialist, the Steamboat Bike Week offers something for everyone.  Hosted in Steamboat Springs, CO, this year’s bike week will take place Monday, June 13 through Sunday, June 19.

The week will kick off with free lessons and discount rentals at the Steamboat Bike Park—a perfect opportunity for mountain bikers to brush up on their skills.  Folks can also check out Moots Cycles for free factory tours on Monday morning.  Tuesday’s highlight is the Ski and Bike Kare Women’s Group ride followed by fan favorite Bike Town Classic on Wednesday.  Clinics for all ages and abilities will be offered throughout the week along with a bike inspired art auction.  The featured event of the week is a hysterical bike polo match on Yampa Street.  Spectators are sure to be amused.  The whole family will enjoy Saturday’s “Bike-in” movie in Gondola Square.  Everyone can travel by bike to the outdoor screening of a feature film.  Further entertainment will be announced closer to the date.  The week is sure to be a beautiful, family-friendly event so be sure to plan your Colorado Rocky Mountain vacation in advance.
