4 Reasons to Raft the Upper C this Labor Day
No matter the time of season you wish to raft, or whatever your skill may be, the Colorado River offers picturesque scenery throughout your adventure. For one last summer hoorah, the Upper Colorado is the place to be and here are four reasons why.
Scenery: Rafting in the Little Gore Canyon you are sure to see wildlife and be witness to beautiful scenery all around. Passing through a few small rapids, such as Needle’s Eye, you will wind through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland and see some true Colorado beauty.
Hot Springs and Cliff Jumping: While rafting keep an eye out for the natural hot springs along the riverside to enjoy a nice little side trip. If you are looking for more excitement the cliff jumping off of either Jump Rock or Little Jump Rock provides ton of opportunities to spice up your adventure.
Family Fun: The Upper Colorado offers mellow terrain for all ages. Accommodating children weighing at least 30lbs, this trip is great for families with young adventurers. But do not fear, if you have some older kids who are looking for a little more thrill, we have inflatable kayaks called duckies that are perfect for older kids who want some more excitement.
You can have your own adventure: Through our rental program, you can rent rafts, inflatable kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. We have rentals offered in full day packages and half day, so you are sure to find time for an exciting experience.
Whether you choose to go on one of our guided tours, or rent privately, you are sure to see classic majestic Colorado scenery and have tons of family fun when you raft on the Upper Colorado River. So, come on out and raft the Upper C this Labor Day!
