- Breckenridge: Fall Fest (10/17)
Fall Fest in Breckenridge is a free day for the family filled with complimentary activities! Get in the fall spirit with pumpkin decorating, caramel apples, face painting and a costume parade. There will also be a bounce house and trampolines. Enjoy the fall weather and festivities of Fall Fest at the Riverwalk Center on Saturday, October 17 from 11am – 3:30pm.
- Breckenridge: Still on the Hill Craft Spirits Festival (10/23-10/25)
Another great way to take advantage of the wonderful fall weather in Breckenridge is the Craft Spirits Festival. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door and gets you admission to the festival, a complimentary tasting glass, samples from 30 distillers, craft cocktails, voting in the people’s choice, artisan snacks, and some wonderful live bluegrass music from the Honey Gitters. There is also a spirited cooking class on Saturday of the festival from 12pm-2pm to guide you through cooking a three-course lunch as well as how to pair food and spirits to best enhance each other. Tickets for the cooking class are $50.
- Keystone: Wine in the Pines (10/24)
When you are done at the Craft Spirits Festival, take Swan Mountain Road over to Keystone for the Wine in the Pines international wine & gourmet food tasting at 6pm. Make sure to dress up for this elegant affair that includes live music, silent and live auctions, almost 500 wines and some of the best food and dessert that Keystone has to offer. Purchase your tickets in advance to save $25 per person on seating.
- Frisco: Haunted House (10/29-10/31)
Head on over to Frisco to get in the Halloween mood! Built and operated by some of Summit County’s youngest residents along with Mountain Mentors, the Frisco Haunted House is a great family-friendly evening activity. Tickets are available at the door and the house will be open the nights of October 29-31 from 6pm-10pm.
- Breckenridge: Halloween Dodgeball Tournament (10/30)
The 7th Annual Halloween Dodgeball Tournament at the Breckenridge Rec Center kicks off on Friday, October 30 at 6pm. There is a $110 fee per team for 6+ players ages 18 and up. Dust off your Halloween costume and brush up on your dodgeball skills. Make sure you and your team get registered by 9pm on October 29!

- Frisco: Turkey Day 5k (11/26)
The Turkey Day 5k in Frisco is a great new family tradition! The race starts at 9:30am from the old Community Center and finishes in the Peak One Neighborhood. Kick off your Thanksgiving morning with a few burnt calories and a family fun run! Participants are encourages to make canned food donation to benefit the Family & Intercultural Resource Center of Summit County. Stick around after the race for a post-race party in the peak One Neighborhood for prize giveaways and refreshments.
- Vail: America’s Opening (12/01-12/06)
America’s Opening in Vail is the kick off to the Men’s World Cup (below). The event features concerts, VIP parties and festivals, downhill racing, food and drink tastings and so much more. Give your winter a kick off fit for royals at this event!
- Beaver Creek: Birds of Prey Men’s World Cup (12/04-12/06)
The World Cup makes its only US stop at the Birds of Prey event in Beaver Creek. A highlight of America’s Opening, the Birds of Prey Men’s World Cup is a can’t miss event as it has become one of the world’s premier ski events, putting top international athletes up against each other. Watch as the fastest men in alpine skiing go for the win in one of the most difficult downhill courses in the world!
- Breckenridge: Lighting of Breckenridge (12/05)
This annual event taking place the first weekend in December in Breckenridge transforms this quant mountain town into a North Pole scene. The event starts at 2pm with the Summit Dancer in the Blue River Plaza, followed by the Summit Choral Society hitting all the right notes of your favorite holiday songs. The Jingle Singers hit the mic next with a fun spin on your favorite oldies. A resident favorite of the Lighting of Breckenridge is the Race of the Santas at 4:15pm, featuring hundreds of Santas racing down Main Street to benefit the Adopt an Angel foundation. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available free of charge in the Blue River Plaza at 4:30pm. The party continues with the tree lighting and Santa making an appearance from his horse-drawn carriage, leading into the Bernese Mountain Dog Parade at 5pm.
