Best Happy Hours in Breckenridge

In a mountain town like Breckenridge, happy hour deals are where it’s at when you want to enjoy a few drinks and some good food without breaking the bank.  We’re here to give you the lowdown on the best spots for your happy hour outing, since there’s no better way to celebrate a good day on the mountain.

We’ll start with one of the big ones: Blue River Bistro.  With two happy hours from 3:00-6:00 and 9:00-midnight, this upscale restaurant is a hit among locals and tourists.  You can enjoy two for one appetizers, two for one martinis and $4 draft beers for six hours of the day.  Live music is frequent here as well, with bands playing on Friday and Saturday nights through December.

Another spot with the some of the greatest deals in Breckenridge is Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant & Cantina.  From 3:00 to 6:00 everyday, Pabst pitchers are $6.00, Tecate cans and Modelo Especials are $2.00, and house margaritas are just under $5.00.  They also have tacos and wings on special – bring a bunch of friends and everyone is bound to find some special that will make them happy.

Hearthstone Restaurant is known as one of the nicest restaurants in town, but their happy hour attracts everyone due to the awesome bargains they offer between 4:00 and 6:00 everyday.  $5.00 small plates, including sesame beef wontons and jalapeño stuffed shrimp, are served up as well as $7.00-$9.00 cocktails and $6.00 glasses of featured wine.

Many know the Motherloaded Tavern off of Main Street for their Tuesday Trivia nights, but don’t forget about their afternoon happy hour specials.  $1.00 off beer, $2.00 off house infusions: shots AND mixed drinks, and $2.00 off house infused 16 ounce mason jar cocktails and hot drinks.  Hang out from 3:00 to 6:00 after a day on the slopes, then stick around for open mic night on Mondays or trivia on Tuesdays!

Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon has a more low-key happy hour, but quality is definitely up to par.  On Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 to 6:00, you can enjoy half prices small plates in their bar area.

Last but not least, Base 9 Bar is tucked away in the basement of the Beaver Run Resort and has a reverse happy hour from 9:00 – 11:00 PM every night.  $5.00 is the price tag on all of their craft beers, well drinks and wine, and they also have free billiards and darts for your entertainment.
