Snowmobiling in Colorado

Colorado in the winter is filled with many activities for you and the family.  While most focus on skiing and snowboarding, many forget about another hidden gem: snowmobiling.  Snowmobiling is a fantastic way to experience the Colorado Rockies the way it was meant to be seen. It is the perfect way for those that do not ski or ride to experience the mountain passes without as much physical exertion, and you can bring the whole family!

Fun For You Adventures

If you’re heading to the Vail Valley or Summit County area, Fun For You Adventures offers rentals in both Vail and Breckenridge.  They use the top-of-the line equipment that is either brand new or only seeing it’s second season, including brands like Arctic Cat or Yamaha.  If being a little more adventurous is up your alley you could try their 4 passenger Razr 800 or a Hummer.  Both have replaced their wheels for snow tracks which creates the ultimate backcountry experience.

High Country Activities

High Country Activities, located just an hour west of Denver in Frisco, offers many different group packages.  Choose their two-hour guided tour for you and your kids, which hit four different locations in the area with some breathtaking views.  On the hunt for a longer excursion?  High Country offers a Vail Snowmobile tour which will take up an afternoon, including an elegant lunch or dinner in a yurt.  Half and full day tours are available as well as self-guided tours in Vail, CO at Camp Hale, where the 10th Mountain Division trained during WWII. Pick-ups are included with the tours at certain locations, and complimentary snowsuits, boots, and helmets are provided.

Colorado Snowmobile Rides

A stone’s throw away from Frisco, Colorado Snowmobile Rides is located in Dillon.  The most popular tour they run is the family snowmobile trip, with the option of riding single or double.  Guests will get to travel groomed trails as well as powder, and get a true Colorado experience.  Half or full days are offered here, which include a hot lunch with different menu options.  If you’ve got the basics of snowmobiling down and are looking for an action packed adventure, try out the high-performance tour.  This tour includes trail riding, off trail riding, and some deep powder riding, which will definitely challenge each rider and give all attendees a great time!

Good Times Adventures

Perfect for all types of groups, Good Times Adventures is located minutes from downtown Breckenridge. With a large lodge, beautiful trails, brand new 2018 Ski Doo 600 snowmobiles, and access to some of the most amazing scenery in Colorado, how could your crew not have a fantastic time?  Each two-hour tour begins with a brief introduction, then you will head on over to the practice area to get comfy on your sled. The actual adventure starts on Georgia Pass and ends up on the Continental Divide, with fantastic views at 11,585 feet above sea level.

You’re all set for your winter excursion!  Try out a new adventure next time you visit the high country, Colorado style.
