Bachelor Party Ideas on the River

Rafting trips are an excellent idea for bachelor parties. If you are planning a bachelor party on the river, you will want to have a few other activities planned to fill in the space and put a bachelor party spin on the trip. Here are a few bachelor party ideas on the river.

It is important to know that, for those going on guided rafting trips, alcohol is not permitted due to state regulations. So, for many, that puts an obstacle in the way of river bachelor parties. On the flip side, if you opt to rent your river gear as opposed to going on a guided trip, you are allowed to bring alcohol at your own risk. While that sounds like a grand ol’ time, we would strongly suggest against it. The best way to enjoy a bachelor party on the river is to do a guided overnight rafting trip. Once your crew pulls up to the shore to set up camp, you are welcome to crack open a cold brew packed by your guide. Another perk of guided overnight rafting trips is that your guide packs all the gear AND cooks dinner and breakfast at the camp. It’s basically an all-inclusive adventure!

Now that we’ve got the main attraction taken care of, we need to consider what to do otherwise. Usually, on a rafting trip, packing light on gear is recommended, but when it comes to a bachelor party, you gotta do what you gotta do. Playing cards are always a good option to go with. You can also talk to the company you are rafting with and see what games why can provide, such as bocce ball, or other activities such as fly fishing, cliff jumping and rock climbing!

Another more inventive option to play in the day time would be a geo-cache scavenger hunt! In order to make this work, one would need to plant a number of items in a predetermined “hunting land”. With each team starting out with 2 items of the same, each team of two will hunt down a geocache, grab the item and leave one. Do this again until you have neither of your starting items. The team will then continue to hunt items. Whichever team gets to 1st place (2nd, 3rd, so on.) wins! Prizes are optional.

The important part of a bachelor party is to let loose and have a fun, uninhibited time. That feeling is all the more better when you’re not on any sort of schedule. Colorado River Rentals can promise you all the quality equipment you would need for a river float trip, at an affordable price.
