How to Pick Your Perfect Raft Trip

KNOW YOUR ROLE
We (me included!!?) all usually think we are in a little better shape than we are, so don’t overshoot your expectations. The river is a fierce beast in the summertime and you need to know your boundaries. The rapids aren’t shy and if you choose a Class III rafting trip or above, you will be paddling most all the time. Make sure on a higher level trip, your entire group can swim and are in decent shape.

When dealing with Mother Nature, you never quite know what to expect. Be aware that conditions can and will change at any time, so be prepared for anything while you’re out there. Some trips at high water season are more challenging than expected, and some trips at low water times might not be as exciting as promised.
