Gifts for the Lover of the Great Outdoors

With Christmas right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking of what type of gifts you can get for family and friends. As someone who spends the majority of their time outside, most of the gifts I receive and buy for others have something to do with an outdoor hobby.

Whether it is a pair of hiking boots before climbing that 14er or a brand new climbing harness before getting on a rock climbing route, it’s important to buy quality gear. The motto “Buy nice or buy twice” comes to mind. There are, unfortunately, a lot of companies out there these days that are selling cheap but unreliable gear. You will be lucky to see this gear last more than a few trips. It is always in your best interest to stick to gear from a respectable manufacturer. Most major retailers such as REI or Backcountry.com only sell gear that has been quality tested and has a good track record. The other benefit of purchasing gear from a reputable company is they will usually offer a great return policy if the gear does have some defect or is just not what you were hoping for.

Once you purchase that new gear for your family member or friend it is time to put it to use. We offer a variety of different outdoor activities such as whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and fly fishing just to name a few. If you have any questions on gear or guidance on what trip to book give us a call and let us help you out!

Cheers!
